Summarise a document
Upload a PDF or Word file and get a short summary of what is in it.
To summarise a document, upload the PDF or Word file and confirm the cost the tool shows you. You get the main points as text, ready to copy. Up to 300 pages per file. It needs a free account and uses credits.
How to use it
Upload your PDF or Word file. The tool reads it and shows the cost in credits before anything runs. Confirm, and the summary comes back as text you can copy.
When it helps
A long report or study tells you nothing until you have read it. A summary gives you what the file actually covers in a minute, so you can decide whether it is worth the full read or which part to jump to.
Common questions
Which files can I upload?
PDF and Word (.docx), up to 300 pages per file. Other formats aren’t supported yet.
Does it read the whole file or only the first pages?
The whole file, up to the 300-page limit. It works from the text in the document, so anything that exists only inside an image or a chart is left out.
What about a scanned document?
A scan is a picture of a page with no text inside it, so there is nothing to summarise. The tool tells you and points you to the Arabic OCR tool, which turns the scan into text first. Nothing is charged.
How many credits does it use?
It depends on the length of the document. You see the exact number after the tool reads your file and before you confirm, and the credits come off only when the run succeeds.
