End-of-service calculator
Estimate end-of-service gratuity under the Saudi Labour Law: enter the monthly basic wage, the length of service, and how the service ended, and get an instant breakdown. Everything is computed in your browser.
To estimate end-of-service gratuity, enter the monthly basic wage, the length of service, and how the service ended. You get an instant estimate under Articles 84 and 85 of the Saudi Labour Law, split across the first five years and the period beyond them, with partial years prorated. It is free, needs no sign-up, and your numbers never leave your browser.
How to use it
Enter the last monthly basic wage, then the length of service in years and additional months, and choose how the service ended: termination by the employer, resignation, the worker ending it for a lawful reason, or dismissal for cause. The result appears as you type, with the accrual for the first five years, the accrual beyond them, and the applied factor.
When it helps
The gratuity is a statutory right, and its amount depends on the length of service and on how it ended. Knowing your estimate before you sign a release or negotiate one clarifies your position, and hand calculation easily miscounts partial years and the resignation factors.
Common questions
How is the gratuity calculated?
Under Article 84 of the Labour Law: half a month of wage for each of the first five years, a full month of wage for each year after that, and parts of a year count proportionally.
What happens when the worker resigns?
Under Article 85: nothing below two years, one third from two to under five years, two thirds from five to under ten years, and the full gratuity at ten years or more.
Which wage does the calculation use?
The last monthly basic wage. Whether allowances count toward the gratuity is disputed in practice, so the tool uses the basic wage alone and says so in the result.
Is my data sent anywhere?
No. The calculation happens entirely in your browser. Your numbers are never uploaded, stored, or shared.
