Resize image
Change an image's width or height. Enter one dimension and we work out the other so the proportions hold.
To resize an image, enter a width or a height and upload the file. We resize it and you download the result. No sign-up needed to try it.
How to use it
Enter a width or a height in pixels, choose how it should fit, then upload the image and download the result.
When it helps
Platforms ask for specific sizes, and oversized images slow pages down. Resizing gives you exactly the dimensions you need.
Common questions
Do I have to enter both width and height?
Only for stretch. With contain and cover one dimension is enough — we calculate the other so the image keeps its proportions.
What is the difference between contain and cover?
Contain fits the whole image inside your dimensions and crops nothing. Cover fills the dimensions completely and may crop the overflowing edges.
Can I enlarge a small image?
Not by default. Enlarging cannot add detail that is not there and the result looks soft, so we leave the image at its original size if it is smaller than you asked for.
