Currency converter

Convert an amount between major currencies at the official ECB daily reference rates, with the Saudi riyal derived from its official peg to the US dollar. See the rate, the reference date, and the converted amount.

To convert an amount, enter it, choose the two currencies, and the result appears immediately with the rate and the reference date. It is free and needs no sign-up.

How to use it

Enter the amount, choose the currency you have and the currency you want, and the converted amount appears as you type. The swap button reverses the pair. The rate line shows what one unit of the first currency is worth in the second, and the reference date tells you when the rates were published. Copy the result when you are ready.

When it helps

Shop prices, travel budgets, invoices, and remittances all mix currencies. The tool uses the European Central Bank daily reference rates rather than a live trading quote, states the publication date, and labels the Saudi riyal rate as the official peg it is.

Common questions

Why is there a date on the rates?

The European Central Bank publishes one set of reference rates per working day, around 16:00 CET. The date shown is the publication day of the rates you are converting with, and the tool never presents them as live quotes.

How is the Saudi riyal rate set?

The riyal is not part of the ECB publication. Its rate is derived from the official peg of 3.75 riyals to one US dollar, fixed by SAMA since 1986, and the tool labels it as a peg derivation wherever the riyal appears in your pair.

What happens if the rate feed is unavailable?

The tool serves the most recent published rates with their date and a notice. If nothing is cached, it says so plainly and offers a retry; it never shows zeros or invented rates.

Can I type Arabic digits?

Yes. The amount box accepts Western digits 0-9, Arabic-Indic digits ٠-٩, the Arabic decimal separator, and thousands separators.
